The House of Wisdom started as a translation project. Originally intended to simply translate academic work from prominent languages at the time like Greek into Arabic, it eventually spiraled into becoming a grand center of scholarship of its own.

 

As the translators absorbed the knowledge they were transcribing, at some point there was a shift until they  themselves were making massive contributions.

The IlmTech project is the modern day translation project. We take academic work like cutting edge research and translate it from papers and graphs to media for the layman: a podcast.
